{"id":1142,"date":"2015-10-07T20:24:28","date_gmt":"2015-10-08T00:24:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=1142"},"modified":"2015-10-03T21:25:43","modified_gmt":"2015-10-04T01:25:43","slug":"thursday-october-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=1142","title":{"rendered":"Thursday, October 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LUKE 4 <sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. <sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. <sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: <sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cThe Spirit of the Lord <em>is<\/em> upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to <em>the<\/em> poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to <em>the<\/em> captives And recovery of sight to <em>the<\/em> blind, <em>To<\/em> set at liberty those who are oppressed; <sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.\u201d<sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>Then He closed the book, and gave <em>it<\/em> back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. <sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>And He began to say to them, \u201cToday this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.\u201d <sup>22\u00a0<\/sup>So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth.
