{"id":1154,"date":"2015-10-14T20:35:51","date_gmt":"2015-10-15T00:35:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=1154"},"modified":"2015-10-03T21:37:12","modified_gmt":"2015-10-04T01:37:12","slug":"thursday-october-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=1154","title":{"rendered":"Thursday, October 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LUKE 5 <sup>33\u00a0<\/sup>Then they said to Him, \u201cWhy do the disciples of John fast often and make prayers, and likewise those of the Pharisees, but Yours eat and drink?\u201d<sup>34\u00a0<\/sup>And He said to them, \u201cCan you make the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? <sup>35\u00a0<\/sup>But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them; then they will fast in those days.\u201d<sup>36\u00a0<\/sup>Then He spoke a parable to them: \u201cNo one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was <em>taken<\/em> out of the new does not match the old. <sup>37\u00a0<\/sup>And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. <sup>38\u00a0<\/sup>But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. <sup>39\u00a0<\/sup>And no one, having drunk old <em>wine,<\/em> immediately desires new; for he says, \u2018The old is better.\u2019\u201d<sup>[<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>For as long as the Bridegroom is with us we both rejoice, and can neither fast nor mourn.
