Sunday
\nActs 2:\u00a0\u00a0When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a<\/a>]<\/sup>with one accord in one place. <\/span> 2\u00a0<\/sup>And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. <\/span> 3\u00a0<\/sup>Then there appeared to them [b<\/a>]<\/sup>divided tongues, as of fire, and one<\/i> sat upon each of them. <\/span> 4\u00a0<\/sup>And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.<\/span><\/p>\n

5\u00a0<\/sup>And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. <\/span> 6\u00a0<\/sup>And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. <\/span> 7\u00a0<\/sup>Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, \u201cLook, are not all these who speak Galileans? <\/span> 8\u00a0<\/sup>And how is it that<\/i> we hear, each in our own [c<\/a>]<\/sup>language in which we were born? <\/span> 9\u00a0<\/sup>Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, <\/span> 10\u00a0<\/sup>Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, <\/span> 11\u00a0<\/sup>Cretans and [d<\/a>]<\/sup>Arabs\u2014we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.\u201d <\/span> 12\u00a0<\/sup>So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, \u201cWhatever could this mean?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

13\u00a0<\/sup>Others mocking said, \u201cThey are full of new wine.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

14\u00a0<\/sup>But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, \u201cMen of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. <\/span> 15\u00a0<\/sup>For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only<\/i> [e<\/a>]<\/sup>the third hour of the day. <\/span> 16\u00a0<\/sup>But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:<\/span><\/p>\n

17\u00a0<\/sup>\u2018And<\/span> it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,<\/span><\/span>
\nThat I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;<\/span><\/span>
\nYour sons and<\/span> your daughters shall prophesy,<\/span><\/span>
\nYour young men shall see visions,<\/span><\/span>
\nYour old men shall dream dreams.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, Treasury of good things and Giver of life: Come and dwell in us, and cleanse us of all impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.\u00a0 \u00a0(for Pentecost Sunday)<\/p>\n

Monday
\nMatthew 21:28\u201c But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, \u2018Son, go, work today in my vineyard.\u2019 29He answered and said, \u2018I will not,\u2019 but afterward he regretted it and went. 30Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, \u2018I go, sir,\u2019 but he did not go. 31Which of the two did the will of his father?\u201d They said to Him, \u201cThe first.\u201d Jesus said to them, \u201cAssuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. 32For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward relent and believe him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tuesday
\nMatthew 21:33\u201c Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. 34Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. 35And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. 36Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, \u2018They will respect my son.\u2019 38But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, \u2018This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.\u2019 39So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40\u201c Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?\u201d 41 \u00a0 They said to Him, \u201cHe will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other\u00a0\u00a0vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.\u201d 42 \u00a0 Jesus said to them, \u201cHave you never read in the Scriptures: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2018 The stone which the builders rejected \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Has become the chief cornerstone. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 This was the LORD\u2019s doing, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 And it is marvelous in our eyes\u2019?* 43\u201c Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. 44And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.\u201d 45 \u00a0 Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them. 46 \u00a0 But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitudes, because they took Him for a prophet.<\/p>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 Holy angel of the Lord by guardian, pray to God for me.<\/p>\n

Wednesday
\nMatthew 22:1 \u00a0 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: 2\u201c The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4Again, he sent out other servants, saying, \u2018Tell those who are invited, \u201cSee, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.\u201d \u00a0\u2019 5But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8Then he said to his servants, \u2018The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.\u2019 10So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.\u00a0\u00a011\u201c But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12So he said to him, \u2018Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?\u2019 And he was speechless. 13Then the king said to the servants, \u2018Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and* cast him into outer darkness;<\/p>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 Our Father, Who art in \u00a0Heaven, hallowed by Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.<\/p>\n

Thursday
\nMark 12:13 \u00a0 Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. 14 \u00a0 When they had come, they said to Him, \u201cTeacher, we know that You are true, and care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 15 \u00a0 Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?\u201d But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, \u201cWhy do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.\u201d 16 \u00a0 So they brought it. And He said to them, \u201cWhose image and inscription is this?\u201d They said to Him, \u201cCaesar\u2019s.\u201d 17 \u00a0 And Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cRender to Caesar the things that are Caesar\u2019s, and to God the things that are God\u2019s.\u201d And they marveled at Him.<\/p>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 O Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. O Lord, blot out our sins. O Master, pardon our iniquities. O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Thy name’s sake.<\/p>\n

Friday
\nMark 12:18 \u00a0 Then some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him; and they asked Him, saying: 19\u201c Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man\u2019s brother dies, and leaves his wife behind, and leaves no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 20 \u00a0 Now\u00a0there were seven brothers. The first took a wife; and dying, he left no offspring. 21 \u00a0 And the second took her, and he died; nor did he leave any offspring. And the third likewise. 22 \u00a0 So the seven had her and left no offspring. Last of all the woman died also. 23 \u00a0 Therefore, in the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be? For all seven had her as wife.\u201d 24 \u00a0 Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cAre you not therefore mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? 25For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 26But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, \u2018I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob\u2019?* 27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (3X)<\/p>\n

Saturday
\nMark 12:28 \u00a0 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving* that He had answered them well, asked Him, \u201cWhich is the first commandment of all?\u201d 29 \u00a0 Jesus answered him, \u201cThe first of all the commandments is: \u2018Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. 30And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.\u2019* This is the first commandment.* 31And the second, like it, is this: \u2018You shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u2019* There is no other commandment greater than these.\u201d 32 \u00a0 So the scribe said to Him, \u201cWell said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. 33 \u00a0 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul,* and with all the strength, and to love one\u2019s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.\u201d 34 \u00a0 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, \u201cYou are not far from the kingdom of God.\u201d But after that no one dared question Him.<\/p>\n
