Luke 25:13 \u00a0 Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles* from Jerusalem. 14 \u00a0 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 \u00a0 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. 16 \u00a0 But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. 17 \u00a0 And He said to them, \u201cWhat kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?\u201d* 18 \u00a0 Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, \u201cAre You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?\u201d 19 \u00a0 And He said to them, \u201cWhat things?\u201d So they said to Him, \u201cThe things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 \u00a0 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 \u00a0 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. 22 \u00a0 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 \u00a0 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 \u00a0 And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.\u201d 25 \u00a0 Then He said to them, \u201cO foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have\u00a0\u00a0spoken! 26Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?\u201d 27 \u00a0 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. 28 \u00a0 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 \u00a0 But they constrained Him, saying, \u201cAbide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.\u201d And He went in to stay with them. 30 \u00a0 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 \u00a0 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32 \u00a0 And they said to one another, \u201cDid not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?\u201d 33 \u00a0 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 \u00a0 saying, \u201cThe Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!\u201d<\/p>\n
Prayer:\u00a0 O Lord, our God, in Thy goodness and love for men forgive me all the sins I have committed today in word, deed or thought. Grant me peaceful and undisturbed sleep. Send Thy Guardian Angel to guard and protect me from all evil. For Thou art the guardian of our souls and bodies, and to Thee we ascribe glory, to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

35 \u00a0 And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. 36 \u00a0 Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, \u201cPeace to you.\u201d 37 \u00a0 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38 \u00a0 And He said to them, \u201cWhy are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.\u201d 40 \u00a0 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.* 41 \u00a0 But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, \u201cHave you any food here?\u201d 42 \u00a0 So they gave Him a\u00a0\u00a0piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.* 43 \u00a0 And He took it and ate in their presence.<\/p>\n

John 20:\u00a024 \u00a0 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 \u00a0 The other disciples therefore said to him, \u201cWe have seen the Lord.\u201d So he said to them, \u201cUnless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.\u201d 26 \u00a0 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the\u00a0doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, \u201cPeace to you!\u201d 27 \u00a0 Then He said to Thomas, \u201cReach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.\u201d 28 \u00a0 And Thomas answered and said to Him, \u201cMy Lord and my God!\u201d 29 \u00a0 Jesus said to him, \u201cThomas,* because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 \u00a0 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.<\/p>\n

John 21:1 \u00a0 After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: 2 \u00a0 Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. 3 \u00a0 Simon Peter said to them, \u201cI am going fishing.\u201d They said to him, \u201cWe are going with you also.\u201d They went out and immediately* got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. 4 \u00a0 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 \u00a0 Then Jesus said to them, \u201cChildren, have you any food?\u201d They answered Him, \u201cNo.\u201d 6 \u00a0 And He said to them, \u201cCast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.\u201d So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish. 7 \u00a0 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, \u201cIt is the Lord!\u201d Now when Simon Peter\u00a0heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. 8 \u00a0 But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. 9 \u00a0 Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. 10 \u00a0 Jesus said to them, \u201cBring some of the fish which you have just caught.\u201d 11 \u00a0 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. 12 \u00a0 Jesus said to them, \u201cCome and eat breakfast.\u201d Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, \u201cWho are You?\u201d\u2014 knowing that it was the Lord. 13 \u00a0 Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish. 14 \u00a0 This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.<\/p>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.\u00a0 Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, \u201cFollow Me.\u201d 20 \u00a0 Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, \u201cLord, who is the one who betrays You?\u201d 21 \u00a0 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, \u201cBut Lord, what about this man?\u201d 22 \u00a0 Jesus said to him, \u201cIf I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.\u201d 23 \u00a0 Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, \u201cIf I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit,\u00a0 grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.<\/p>\n
