Then taper by taper and candle by candle the people give and take holy light, and the darkness of night is flooded by light, and everything calms down, and everyone\u2019s soul becomes peaceful and their hearts beat with divine hope.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"bvuq0\" data-offset-key=\"4j72a-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"4j72a-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"4j72a-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"bvuq0\" data-offset-key=\"917mp-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"917mp-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"917mp-0-0\">Darkness has no duration; No it can not have any duration!\u2026 NO! . .. Death cannot and is not permanent! \u2026 The Light from Light, the true God, whom we saw earlier powerless on the Cross, and dead with his arms crossed, and immobile, being buried by Joseph of Arimathea in his own grave, after having enlightened with His presence the Storehouses of Hades and after \u201cHe went and preached to the spirits in prison\u201d (1Peter 3:19), He prevailed over death, granting light, joy, life and resurrection to suffering mankind.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"bvuq0\" data-offset-key=\"f5moq-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"f5moq-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"f5moq-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"bvuq0\" data-offset-key=\"dvung-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"dvung-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"dvung-0-0\">And this sea of lit Easter candles, which is blown about by the spring night breeze, is the reply of the believers to the nonsense and empty words of disbelief and agnosticism, the answer to the wretchedness of doubt and of atheism\u2026.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"bvuq0\" data-offset-key=\"fc495-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"fc495-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"fc495-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"bvuq0\" data-offset-key=\"doj2a-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"doj2a-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"doj2a-0-0\">The Gospel reading from the Gospel according to Mark ( 16:1-8) \u2013 the 2nd \u201cEothinon\u201d Gospel \u2013 is the scriptural pronouncement that Jesus the Nazarene, the Crucified, \u201chas arisen, He is not here\u201d, in the strangers grave that is, which had given Him hospitality.
