And He said to him, \u201cFollow Me.\u201d <sup>28\u00a0<\/sup>So he left all, rose up, and followed Him.<sup>29\u00a0<\/sup>Then Levi gave Him a great feast in his own house. And there were a great number of tax collectors and others who sat down with them. <sup>30\u00a0<\/sup>And their scribes and the Pharisees complained against His disciples, saying, \u201cWhy do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?\u201d<sup>31\u00a0<\/sup>Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cThose who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. <sup>32\u00a0<\/sup>I have not come to call <em>the<\/em> righteous, but sinners, to repentance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Levi had been a publican, a rapacious man, of unbridled desires after vain things, a lover of other men\u2019s goods, for this is the character of the publican, but snatched from the very worship of malice by Christ\u2019s call. Hence it follows, And he said unto him, Follow me. He bids him follow Him, not with bodily step, but with the soul\u2019s affections.
