Mark 11:<\/p>\n
Now when they drew near Jerusalem, to [a<\/a>]<\/sup>Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples; <\/span> 2\u00a0<\/sup>and He said to them, \u201cGo into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it.<\/i><\/span> <\/span> 3\u00a0<\/sup>And if anyone says to you, \u2018Why are you doing this?\u2019 say, \u2018The Lord has need of it,\u2019 and immediately he will send it here.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 4\u00a0<\/sup>So they went their way, and found [b<\/a>]<\/sup>the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it. <\/span> 5\u00a0<\/sup>But some of those who stood there said to them, \u201cWhat are you doing, loosing the colt?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n 6\u00a0<\/sup>And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go. <\/span> 7\u00a0<\/sup>Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it. <\/span> 8\u00a0<\/sup>And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them<\/i> on the road. <\/span> 9\u00a0<\/sup>Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHosanna!<\/span> 11\u00a0<\/sup>And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.<\/span><\/p>\n Prayer:\u00a0 We adore Thee O Christ and we bless Thee, for by Thy Holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Monday<\/p>\n Mark 11:12\u00a0<\/sup>Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. <\/span> 13\u00a0<\/sup>And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. <\/span> 14\u00a0<\/sup>In response Jesus said to it, \u201cLet no one eat fruit from you ever again.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n And His disciples heard it.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n 15\u00a0<\/sup>So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. <\/span> 16\u00a0<\/sup>And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. <\/span> 17\u00a0<\/sup>Then He taught, saying to them, \u201cIs it not written,<\/span> \u2018My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations\u2019? But you have made it a<\/span> \u2018den of thieves.\u2019<\/span> \u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 18\u00a0<\/sup>And the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching. <\/span> 19\u00a0<\/sup>When evening had come, He went out of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n Prayer:<\/p>\n O Lord and Master of my life, a spirit of idleness, despondency, ambition, and idle talking give me not.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tuesday<\/p>\n Mark 11:20\u00a0<\/sup>Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. <\/span> 21\u00a0<\/sup>And Peter, remembering, said to Him, \u201cRabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n 22\u00a0<\/sup>So Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cHave faith in God.<\/span> <\/span> 23\u00a0<\/sup>For<\/span> assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, \u2018Be removed and be cast into the sea,\u2019 and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.<\/span> <\/span> 24\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore I say to you,<\/span> whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them,<\/i> and you will have them.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 25\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cAnd whenever you stand praying,<\/span> if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.<\/span> <\/span> 26\u00a0<\/sup>[d<\/a>]<\/sup>But<\/span> if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Prayer:<\/p>\n But rather a spirit of chastity, humble-mindedness, patience, and love bestow upon me Thy servant.<\/p>\n Yea, O Lord King, grant me to see my failings and not condemn my brother; for blessed art Thou unto the ages of ages. Amen.<\/p>\n Wednesday<\/p>\n Mark 11:27\u00a0<\/sup>Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him. <\/span> 28\u00a0<\/sup>And they said to Him, \u201cBy what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n 29\u00a0<\/sup>But Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cI also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:<\/span> <\/span> 30\u00a0<\/sup>The<\/span> baptism of John\u2014was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 31\u00a0<\/sup>And they reasoned among themselves, saying, \u201cIf we say, \u2018From heaven,\u2019 He will say, \u2018Why then did you not believe him?\u2019 <\/span> 32\u00a0<\/sup>But if we say, \u2018From men\u2019 \u201d\u2014they feared the people, for all counted John to have been a prophet indeed. <\/span> 33\u00a0<\/sup>So they answered and said to Jesus, \u201cWe do not know.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n And Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cNeither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Prayer:<\/p>\n Yea, O Lord King, grant me to see my failings and not condemn my brother; for blessed art Thou unto the ages of ages. Amen.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thursday 9\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cTherefore what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers, and give the vineyard to others.<\/span> <\/span> 10\u00a0<\/sup>Have you not even read this Scripture:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u2018The stone which the builders rejected<\/span><\/span> 12\u00a0<\/sup>And they sought to lay hands on Him, but feared the multitude, for they knew He had spoken the parable against them. So they left Him and went away.<\/span><\/p>\n Prayer:\u00a0 O Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. O Lord, blot out our sins. O Master, pardon our iniquities. O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Thy name’s sake.<\/p>\n Friday<\/p>\n Mark 12:\u00a013\u00a0<\/sup>Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His<\/i> words. <\/span> 14\u00a0<\/sup>When they had come, they said to Him, \u201cTeacher, we know that You are true, and [d<\/a>]<\/sup>care about no one; for You do not [e<\/a>]<\/sup>regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? <\/span> 15\u00a0<\/sup>Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, \u201cWhy do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.<\/i>\u201d<\/span> <\/span> 16\u00a0<\/sup>So they brought it.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n And He said to them, \u201cWhose image and inscription is<\/i> this?\u201d<\/span> They said to Him, \u201cCaesar\u2019s.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n 17\u00a0<\/sup>And Jesus answered and said to them, [f<\/a>]<\/sup>\u201cRender to Caesar the things that are Caesar\u2019s, and to<\/span> God the things that are God\u2019s.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n And they marveled at Him.<\/span><\/p>\n Prayer:\u00a0 Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (3X)<\/p>\n Saturday 24\u00a0<\/sup>Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cAre you not therefore<\/span> [g<\/a>]<\/sup>mistaken, because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?<\/span> <\/span> 25\u00a0<\/sup>For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but<\/span> are like angels in heaven.<\/span> <\/span> 26\u00a0<\/sup>But concerning the dead, that they<\/span> rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning<\/i> bush passage,<\/i> how God spoke to him, saying,<\/span> \u2018I am<\/i> the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob\u2019?<\/span> <\/span> 27\u00a0<\/sup>He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly<\/span>
\n\u2018Blessed<\/span> is<\/i> He who comes in the name of the<\/span> Lord<\/span>!\u2019<\/span><\/span>
\n10\u00a0<\/sup>Blessed is<\/i> the kingdom of our father David<\/span>
\nThat comes [c<\/a>]<\/sup>in the name of the Lord!<\/span>
\nHosanna in the highest!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nMark 12:Then He began to speak to them in parables: \u201cA man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it,<\/i> dug a place for<\/i> the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to<\/span> [a<\/a>]<\/sup>vinedressers and went into a far country.<\/span> <\/span> 2\u00a0<\/sup>Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers.<\/span> <\/span> 3\u00a0<\/sup>And they took him<\/i> and beat him and sent him<\/i> away empty-handed.<\/span> <\/span> 4\u00a0<\/sup>Again he sent them another servant,<\/span> [b<\/a>]<\/sup>and at him they threw stones, wounded him<\/i> in the head, and sent him<\/i> away shamefully treated.<\/span> <\/span> 5\u00a0<\/sup>And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others,<\/span> beating some and killing some.<\/span> <\/span> 6\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, \u2018They will respect my son.\u2019<\/span> <\/span> 7\u00a0<\/sup>But those<\/span> [c<\/a>]<\/sup>vinedressers said among themselves, \u2018This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.\u2019<\/span> <\/span> 8\u00a0<\/sup>So they took him and<\/span> killed him<\/i> and cast him<\/i> out of the vineyard.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nHas become the chief cornerstone.<\/span><\/span>
\n11\u00a0<\/sup>This was the Lord<\/span>\u2019s doing,<\/span><\/span>
\nAnd it is marvelous in our eyes\u2019?\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\nMark 12:18\u00a0<\/sup>Then some<\/i> Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him; and they asked Him, saying: <\/span> 19\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cTeacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man\u2019s brother dies, and leaves his<\/i> wife behind, and leaves no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. <\/span> 20\u00a0<\/sup>Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife; and dying, he left no offspring. <\/span> 21\u00a0<\/sup>And the second took her, and he died; nor did he leave any offspring. And the third likewise. <\/span> 22\u00a0<\/sup>So the seven had her and left no offspring. Last of all the woman died also. <\/span> 23\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore, in the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be? For all seven had her as wife.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
