{"id":1402,"date":"2015-11-14T20:20:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-15T01:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=1402"},"modified":"2015-11-12T20:42:33","modified_gmt":"2015-11-13T01:42:33","slug":"sunday-november-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=1402","title":{"rendered":"Sunday November 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>November 15<br \/>\nReflection on Christ as a Good Samaritan to Mankind<br \/>\nHe who does not see God as the merciful Samaritan on earth will see Him as the dreadful Judge in heaven. So blinded were the leaders of the Jews that, in the Lord Christ, they were unable to see God, or the Messiah, or a prophet, or even simply a good man&#8230;O my brethren, do not be misled by deluding and illusionary tales of those men who say: \u201cWhen we see Christ in the heavens as God, then we will believe in Him.\u201d That faith will be too late, and that vision will be in vain. With our faith we must see Christ as God in that humiliated, spat upon, beaten, bloodied and ridiculed Man in the court of Caiaphas; in that silent and condemned One Whom the Jews considered as something cheap and unneeded and Whom they turned into a masquerade. This is the Faith that is valued in heaven. This is the Faith that is rewarded by resurrection and immortality.
