JOHN 10: 22\u00a0<\/sup>Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23\u00a0<\/sup>And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon\u2019s porch. 24\u00a0<\/sup>Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, \u201cHow long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.\u201d 25\u00a0<\/sup>Jesus answered them, \u201cI told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father\u2019s name, they bear witness of Me. 26\u00a0<\/sup>But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27\u00a0<\/sup>My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28\u00a0<\/sup>And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29\u00a0<\/sup>My Father, who has given them<\/em> to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them<\/em> out of My Father\u2019s hand. 30\u00a0<\/sup>I and My<\/em> Father are one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Something to Think About
\n<\/strong><\/span>The Feast of Dedication recalls the events roughly 150 years before Christ \u00a0(in the books of the Macabbees) when the Temple was cleansed after Greek conquerors had defiled it. \u00a0There was a limited amount of oil but it burned miraculously during the entire Feast. \u00a0Today it is call Hanukkah and the Jews celebrate it near Christmas.<\/p>\n
