{"id":3108,"date":"2017-03-05T14:14:24","date_gmt":"2017-03-05T19:14:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=3108"},"modified":"2017-03-05T14:14:42","modified_gmt":"2017-03-05T19:14:42","slug":"robbing-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=3108","title":{"rendered":"Robbing God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The three facets of Lent most often emphasized are fasting, praying (including attending services) and giving. \u00a0 Many do not realize that not giving to the Church is a crime against God&#8230;<br \/>\nMalachi 3:8-9: \u201cWill a man rob God? \u00a0Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, \u2018In what way have we robbed You?\u2019 In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But, that&#8217;s Old Testament! \u00a0Aren&#8217;t we under the New?<br \/>\nLuke 6:38: \u00a0&#8220;Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.
