Sunday<\/p>\n

Luke 17:12\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. <\/span> 13\u00a0<\/sup>And they lifted up their<\/i> voices and said, \u201cJesus, Master, have mercy on us!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

14\u00a0<\/sup>So when He saw them,<\/i> He said to them, \u201cGo, show yourselves to the priests.\u201d<\/span> And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.<\/span><\/p>\n

15\u00a0<\/sup>And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, <\/span> 16\u00a0<\/sup>and fell down on his<\/i> face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.<\/span><\/p>\n

17\u00a0<\/sup>So Jesus answered and said, \u201cWere there not ten cleansed? But where are<\/i> the nine?<\/span> <\/span> 18\u00a0<\/sup>Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?\u201d<\/span> <\/span> 19\u00a0<\/sup>And He said to him, \u201cArise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

OSB Notes: Leprosy was one of the most dreaded diseases of the time. It brought great physical suffering as well as total banishment and isolation from society. It is also a symbol of our sin. 5: 14 Show yourself to the priest: Christ gives this command in order to convince the priests by a tangible miracle that He is superior to Moses . The priests hold Moses to be greater than Christ, yet Christ heals a leper immediately and with His own divine authority. However, when Miriam was struck with leprosy, Moses had to seek mercy from above, and still she was only healed after seven days.<\/p>\n

Luke 10<\/strong><\/p>\n

21\u00a0<\/sup>In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, \u201cI thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the<\/em> wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 22\u00a0<\/sup>All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one<\/em> to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

38\u00a0<\/sup>Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39\u00a0<\/sup>And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus\u2019 feet and heard His word. 40\u00a0<\/sup>But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, \u201cLord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.\u201d<\/p>\n

9\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cSo I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10\u00a0<\/sup>For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11\u00a0<\/sup>If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Therefore they will be your judges. 20\u00a0<\/sup>But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 21\u00a0<\/sup>When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. 22\u00a0<\/sup>But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils. 23\u00a0<\/sup>He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.<\/p>\n

Wednesday<\/p>\n

33\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cNo one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it<\/em> in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. 34\u00a0<\/sup>The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye<\/em> is bad, your body also is<\/em> full of darkness. 35\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36\u00a0<\/sup>If then your whole body is<\/em> full of light, having no part dark, the<\/em> whole body<\/em> will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.\u201d<\/p>\n

Woe to the Pharisees and Lawyers<\/h3>\n

39\u00a0<\/sup>Then the Lord said to him, \u201cNow you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of greed and wickedness. 40\u00a0<\/sup>Foolish ones! Did not He who made the outside make the inside also? 41\u00a0<\/sup>But rather give alms of such things as you have; then indeed all things are clean to you.<\/p>\n

42\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cBut woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 43\u00a0<\/sup>Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces. 44\u00a0<\/sup>Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them<\/em> are not aware of them.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all,<\/em> \u201cBeware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2\u00a0<\/sup>For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. 3\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.<\/p>\n

Confess Christ Before Men<\/h3>\n

8\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cAlso I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. 9\u00a0<\/sup>But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.<\/p>\n

10\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cAnd anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.<\/p>\n
