{"id":410,"date":"2015-06-27T20:19:06","date_gmt":"2015-06-28T00:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=410"},"modified":"2015-06-14T07:35:04","modified_gmt":"2015-06-14T11:35:04","slug":"june-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=410","title":{"rendered":"Sunday, June 28"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"chapter-1\"><span class=\"chapternum\">MATTHEW 8 \u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text\"><sup> 5\u00a0<\/sup>Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, <sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>saying, \u201cLord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.\u201d<sup>7\u00a0<\/sup>And Jesus said to him, <\/span><span class=\"woj\">\u201cI will come and heal him.\u201d<\/span><span class=\"text\"><sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>The centurion answered and said, \u201cLord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. <sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this <i>one,<\/i> \u2018Go,\u2019 and he goes; and to another, \u2018Come,\u2019 and he comes; and to my servant, \u2018Do this,\u2019 and he does <i>it.<\/i>\u201d <sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>When Jesus heard <i>it,<\/i> He marveled, and said to those who followed, <\/span><span class=\"woj\">\u201cAssuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!<\/span><span class=\"text\"> <sup>11\u00a0<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"woj\">And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.<\/span><span class=\"text\"> <sup>12\u00a0<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"woj\">But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.\u201d<\/span><span class=\"text\"> <sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>Then Jesus said to the centurion, <\/span><span class=\"woj\">\u201cGo your way; and as you have believed, <i>so<\/i> let it be done for you.\u201d<\/span><span class=\"text\"> And his servant was healed that same hour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>By declaring himself unworthy, he shewed himself worthy, not indeed into whose house, but into whose heart, Christ the Word of God should enter. Nor could he have said this with so much faith and humility, had he not borne in his heart Him whom he feared to have in his house.
