{"id":578,"date":"2015-07-03T20:44:22","date_gmt":"2015-07-04T00:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=578"},"modified":"2015-07-03T20:44:22","modified_gmt":"2015-07-04T00:44:22","slug":"saturday-july-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=578","title":{"rendered":"Saturday, July 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MATTHEW 13 <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. <sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: \u2018Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,<br \/>\nAnd seeing you will see and not perceive;<br \/>\n<sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>For the hearts of this people have grown dull.<br \/>\n<em>Their<\/em> ears are hard of hearing,<br \/>\nAnd their eyes they have closed,<br \/>\nLest they should see with <em>their<\/em> eyes and hear with <em>their<\/em> ears,<br \/>\nLest they should understand with <em>their<\/em> hearts and turn,<br \/>\nSo that I should heal them.\u2019<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>But blessed <em>are<\/em> your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; <sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous <em>men<\/em> desired to see what you see, and did not see <em>it,<\/em> and to hear what you hear, and did not hear <em>it.<\/em> <sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cTherefore hear the parable of the sower: <sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand <em>it,<\/em> then the wicked <em>one<\/em> comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. <sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; <sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while.
