{"id":593,"date":"2015-07-05T20:20:41","date_gmt":"2015-07-06T00:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=593"},"modified":"2015-07-04T08:42:36","modified_gmt":"2015-07-04T12:42:36","slug":"monday-july-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=593","title":{"rendered":"Monday, July 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MATTHEW 13 <sup>24\u00a0<\/sup>Another parable He put forth to them, saying: \u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; <sup>25\u00a0<\/sup>but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. <sup>26\u00a0<\/sup>But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. <sup>27\u00a0<\/sup>So the servants of the owner came and said to him, \u2018Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?\u2019 <sup>28\u00a0<\/sup>He said to them, \u2018An enemy has done this.\u2019 The servants said to him, \u2018Do you want us then to go and gather them up?\u2019 <sup>29\u00a0<\/sup>But he said, \u2018No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. <sup>30\u00a0<\/sup>Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, \u201cFirst gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.\u201d\u2019\u201d <sup>31\u00a0<\/sup>Another parable He put forth to them, saying: \u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, <sup>32\u00a0<\/sup>which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Devil is called a man that is an enemy because he has ceased to be God; and in the ninth Psalm it is written of him, Up, Lord, and let not man have the upper hand.
