\nJohn 5:31\u201c If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. 32There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true. 33You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth. 34Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved. 35He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light. 36But I have a greater witness than John\u2019s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish\u2014 the very works that I do\u2014 bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. 37And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. 41\u201c I do not receive honor from men. 42But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. 43I have come in My Father\u2019s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? 45Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you\u2014 Moses, in whom you trust. 46For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for<\/p>\n
Prayer:\u00a0 We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.

\nMatthew 12:1 \u00a0 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. 2 \u00a0 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, \u201cLook, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!\u201d 3 \u00a0 But He said to them, \u201cHave you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: 4how he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? 5Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless? 6Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple. 7But if you had known what this means, \u2018I desire mercy and not sacrifice,\u2019* you would not have condemned the guiltless. 8For the Son of Man is Lord even* of the Sabbath.\u201d<\/p>\n
Prayer:\u00a0 O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, Treasury of good things and Giver of life: Come and dwell in us, and cleanse us of all impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.<\/p>\n
Tuesday
\nMark 3:1 \u00a0 And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. 2 \u00a0 So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. 3 \u00a0 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, \u201cStep forward.\u201d 4 \u00a0 Then He said to them, \u201cIs it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?\u201d But they kept silent. 5 \u00a0 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, \u201cStretch out your hand.\u201d And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.* 6 \u00a0 Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.<\/p>\n

Wednesday
\nMatthew 12:But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes* followed Him, and He healed them all. 16 \u00a0 Yet He warned them not to make Him known, 17 \u00a0 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: \u00a0 \u00a0 18 \u201cBehold! My Servant whom I have chosen, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 I will put My Spirit upon Him, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 And He will declare justice to the Gentiles. \u00a0 \u00a0 19 He will not quarrel nor cry out, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. \u00a0 \u00a0 20 A bruised reed He will not break, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 And smoking flax He will not quench, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Till He sends forth justice to victory;\u00a021 And in His name Gentiles will trust.\u201d*<\/p>\n
Prayer:\u00a0 Our Father, Who art in \u00a0Heaven, hallowed by Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.<\/p>\n
Thursday
\nMark 3:But Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea 8 \u00a0 and Jerusalem and Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and those from Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard how many things He was doing, came to Him. 9 \u00a0 So He told His disciples that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should crush Him. 10 \u00a0 For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to touch Him. 11 \u00a0 And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, \u201cYou are the Son of God.\u201d 12 \u00a0 But He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known.<\/p>\n

Prayer:\u00a0 O Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. O Lord, blot out our sins. O Master, pardon our iniquities. O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Thy name’s sake.<\/p>\n
Friday
\nMark 3:13 \u00a0 And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. 14 \u00a0 Then He appointed twelve,* that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, 15 \u00a0 and to have power to heal sicknesses and* to cast out demons: 16 \u00a0 Simon,* to whom He gave the name Peter; 17 \u00a0 James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, \u201cSons of Thunder\u201d; 18 \u00a0 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite; 19 \u00a0 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house.<\/p>\n
