If we ourselves do not present monasticism as an alternative lifestyle to all the other choices presented to our children, then who will?<\/p>\n<p>Often we encounter other Christians who say things like \u201cI haven\u2019t seen a nun in habit since I was a\u00a0child.\u201d They\u2019re usually sixty years old or older. OR \u201cI didn\u2019t know nuns still existed.\u201d OR \u201cMommy, look at the witch.\u201d What is even sadder is that usually the parent doesn\u2019t even know what a nun is.
