{"id":915,"date":"2015-08-21T20:08:51","date_gmt":"2015-08-22T00:08:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=915"},"modified":"2015-08-15T21:13:53","modified_gmt":"2015-08-16T01:13:53","slug":"saturday-august-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orthodoxinsight.com\/?p=915","title":{"rendered":"Saturday, August 22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MATTHEW 26 <sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests <sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>and said, \u201cWhat are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?\u201d And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. <sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.<sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>Now on the first <em>day of the Feast<\/em> of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, \u201cWhere do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?\u201d<sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>And He said, \u201cGo into the city to a certain man, and say to him, \u2018The Teacher says, \u201cMy time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.\u201d\u2019\u201d<sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.<sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve. <sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>Now as they were eating, He said, \u201cAssuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.\u201d<sup>22\u00a0<\/sup>And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, \u201cLord, is it I?\u201d<sup>23\u00a0<\/sup>He answered and said, \u201cHe who dipped <em>his<\/em> hand with Me in the dish will betray Me. <sup>24\u00a0<\/sup>The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed!
