PROPHET AMOS: All of us have to do something we don’t want to.  This often causes stress, anger and other negative emotions that are often long lasting.  Amos was a simple ‘dresser of sycamore trees’ who God called to leave Judah and go to the Northern Kingdom (of Israel) to pronounce God’s judgement on him and his nation.  Amos obeyed over the course of several years,  was beaten several times and eventually died of his wounds.  So, when you are asked to do something you don’t like, remember Amos:  it could be worse.
