Second Peter One Sixteen-Two two

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.  And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, a which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, b for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God c spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.   But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does a not slumber.

You completed your struggle well, all-praised Euphemia; / even after death, you pour out healing on us for our sanctification. / We stand beside your venerable relics / to honor your holy falling asleep, / that in faith we may be delivered from the weaknesses of our nature / and to obtain the grace of your miracles.
