In the spiritual life, there is no “near” and “far”. Distance cannot separate the love of Christ, because Christ, with His love, abolishes distances. Therefore, regardless of whether one is near or far, when he is near Christ and connects with others in a brotherly way through the love of Christ, then he always feels near.

I praise God that my love is of the spiritual, angelic kind that abolishes distances and enables me to have contact with you from afar – in this life, as well as in the other life which is even more far away, because even that distance will be very short since we are united by Love, by Christ Himself.
