Orthodox Quote for March 13
“Since the early days of television right up to our present time we often see cartoons with someone, usually a child, being tempted by something wrong or harmful. The cartoon shows the horned, red devil with a pointed tail and a spear or weapon in his hand, enticing the child to do something wrong: ‘Ahh, go on. There’s nothing wrong with this. Take it/do it. It’s ok. You’ll like it.’ Meanwhile, there is an angel on the other shoulder, warning the child, ‘No. Don’t listen to him. It’s bad.’ Strange as it may seem to us in our modem day society, those cartoons are very real. ”
