Wisdom from Modern Orthodox Elders
“Faith in Christ is like a water pipe and the Spirit of God is the very living water. Through faith comes the spirit where there from Earth, from hell or from God. Why is the Spirit of God called the living water? Because it is the life giving drink for a man’s soul. From that drink the soul receives life and joy. Every earthly sweetness opens up thirst for even greater earthly sweetness while the sweetness of the life creating Spirit of God does not yearn for any greater sweetness. There is no greater sweetness than that.”
