Orthodox Quote for May 29
“’What if the other person does not want to forgive me?’ is often asked whenever this topic arises. We must remember that we have to answer for our own souls. Once you have humbled yourself and asked someone for forgiveness, you have done what is pleasing in the eyes of God. It is not often that another will remain hostile toward one who has sincerely asked for forgiveness, but it certainly can happen. In such a case we need to continue to be loving and friendly to that person and never, never, make excuses for yourself.”
