ST. SHALVA OF GEORGIA:  the nation of Georgia has been a ‘battleground’ throughout much of its history.  St. Shalva was a Christian how honored God and the Church and also was a soldier.  Some misinterpret ‘thou shalt not kill’ as meaning there is never justification for taking human life.   History shows many saints who actively defended the weak and the Faith being honored by the Church and through miracles of God.  When Christ returns he will also bear a sword.
