He knows how and where to guide us, as long as we ask for His help, tell Him our desires and allow Him to put things in order. When I was in the Monastery of Philotheou, I wanted to go to the wilderness; I was thinking of going to a deserted island. I had made arrangements with a boatman to take me there, but finally he never came. This was the dispensation of God, for I was still inexperienced, and would have come to great harm on the deserted island; the demons would have annihilated me.”
