Prophet Elijah: the Old Testament prophet was a ‘forerunner’ of many New Testament era events including performing miracles to show confirm God’s truth and living in isolation with God like later monks would do.  When God appeared to him it was in the form of a ‘gentle breeze’.  This is a reminder that God is the same ‘yesterday, today and forever’.
