7 Holy Maccabee Martyrs – when the aged teacher Eleazar was urged to ‘fake’ eating meat sacrificed to idols, he refused and maintained he needed to be an example to others even if it meant his death.  In a modern world of ‘compromise’ and ‘gray’, he is an example to us to be a clear witness for Christ and the Faith to those around us.
